Real Madrid win UEFA Super Cup

An outstanding solo goal from defender Dani Carvajal won the UEFA Super Cup in the final minute of extra time as Real Madrid prevailed 3-2 over Sevilla. 

Marco Asensio's long-range strike had given Real Madrid the lead in Trondheim, before Franco Vazquez and Yevhen Konoplyanka put Sevilla in the lead. 

Some slack defending in the final minute of regular time, however, allowed Sergio Ramos to level matters, and Sevilla's task was made even harder when Kolo saw red in extra time for a second booking. 

Ramos saw another header ruled out for a foul, but Carvajal finally decided matters as he streaked down the right wing and smashed home past Sergio Rico to win the title for his side.
