Marcus Rashford reveals secret to his Manchester United form

Marcus Rashford has revealed that working with Manchester United coach Colin Little has been one of the major factors behind his emergence at Old Trafford. 

The teenage striker broke into the first team at Old Trafford under Louis van Gaal in the second half of last season and instantly won a host of new admirers for his fearless style of play. 

Rashford helped United finish fifth in the Premier League table and win the FA Cup under Van Gaal last season.

And he was rewarded for his fine form with a call-up to the England squad for Euro 2016, as well as a new contract at Manchester United. 

And the teenager has revealed how sessions with United coach Little helped to open his mind about how he should approach the game. 

Speaking in an interview with Inside United, Rashford said: 

“That kind of changed my mindset towards the game. 

“Usually I’d like to get the ball to my feet and show people what I could do, but now I know there are other ways to affect a game. It kind of opened my mind to the game. 

“I don’t regret playing in that position because it means now I can still play there if I need to – No 10, on both wings and up front as well. It means I have more in my armoury when it comes to the matches. 

“I used to look up to players who would dribble at people, creating chances, scoring too. 

"But the type of the player I want to be now is different to the type of player I wanted to be then.”
