Zlatan Ibrahimovic turned down an eye-watering amount of money from China to join Manchester United in the summer, according to super agent Mino Raiola.
Ibrahimovic, who turns 35 on Monday, ran down his contract with PSG last season and opted to join United on a free transfer, and he’s been arguably the Red Devils’ best player so far with six goals in ten appearances.
Raiola said: “Ibrahimovic is the best. “He turned down €100m net from the Chinese! He doesn’t want more money, he wants to win.
“I’ve been lucky, I’ve always had champions. Zlatan, [Pavel] Nedved, Maxwell and now [Blaise] Matuidi and [Gigio] Donnarumma.
“He [Donnarumma] will become even better than [Gigi] Buffon, because whoever comes in the future is always better than the past.”
What do you make of Raiola’s comments? Should Zlatan have taken the money?
