RB Leipzig move six points clear of Bayern Munich at top of Bundesliga

RB Leipzig continued their shock unbeaten record in Bundesliga to extend their lead at the top of the table to six points over champions Bayern Munich . 

The newly promoted outfit thrashed mid-table Freiburg 4-1 on the road thanks to goals from Naby Keita and Marcel Sabitzer either side of a Timo Werner double. 

Ralph Hasenhuttl's side ascended to the top of the German top flight last weekend when their 3-2 win at Bayer Leverkusen saw then move above Bayern who lost at Dortmund. 

Guinea midfielder Keita opened the scoring in the second minute, but the home side responded on the 15-minute mark when Florian Niederlechner equalised. 

Werner then netted a brace within 14 minutes to ensure Leipzig took a 3-1 lead into the break. 

Sabitzer completed the rout with 10 minutes to play, extending Leipzig's record-breaking unbeaten run at the start of a Bundesliga season for a newly promoted side to 12 games.
