Tottenham hold talks with Everton over £35m deal for Ross Barkley

Tottenham have asked Everton about the availability of Ross Barkley ahead of the January transfer window, according to reports. 

The North London outfit are looking for a new signing who could get the best out of Harry Kane and view the Everton midfielder as a viable option. 

Tottenham would need to submit a bid of at least £35 million in order to persuade Everton, although the England international has less than two years remaining on his current £65,000-a-week deal at Goodison Park. 

The possibility of a transfer in January could be difficult but Spurs are keeping tabs on Barkley’s situation. 

Barkley has two goals and two assists in 14 Premier League appearances this season.
