Manchester United eye transfer swoop for Real Madrid midfielder Isco

Manchester United are weighing up a January swoop for Real Madrid midfielder Isco. 

The Red devils are keeping tabs on Isco as boss Jose Mourinho plots the next stage of his squad revamp after his near-£150million summer spree. 

The £25m-rated Spain international playmaker has fallen down the pecking order at Madrid under boss Zinedine Zidane and he is on United’s radar as they search for a player who could help solve their lack of creativity. 

Isco, who is contracted to Madrid until 2018, also appeals because he is viewed as an attainable mid-season target. 

The 24-year-old is out of favour at the Bernabeu and set to be allowed to leave when the transfer window re-opens in the New Year. 

His only start of this campaign so far was in the UEFA Super Cup win over Sevilla at the end of pre-season, when Zidane was short of options. In La Liga, he's played just twice - both as a sub.
