Romelu Lukaku insists he needs to become a ‘serial killer’ for Everton after scoring a hat-trick to sink Sunderland on Monday evening. 

The 23-year-old ended a run of 1139 minutes in the Premier League without a goal by scoring three times in the second half to seal a 3-0 victory at the Stadium of Light. 

Lukaku’s 11-minute hat-trick was the 12th fastest in Premier League history, but the striker believes he should have scored more against David Moyes’ side. 

"I think I could have had five in the end,’ the Belgian told Sky Sports. 

"I have to be more of a serial killer for the team to achieve their objective" 

The win puts Everton up to third in the Premier League, while Moyes is still searching for his first win since taking charge at Sunderland.
